Really nice balance between acidity and fruit. Second day was still very good and the third day after opening started to fade slightly. Crisp notes that show the characters of blanc sec semillon which are quite enjoyable during the summer months. A huge mouth feel with really nice dark fruit, gobs of wonderful tobacco,coffee,and dark chocolate. I hit this after the 90 Lagrange and it just didnt seem to be as ready for prime time. That being said this could in fact turn into a 95+ point wine in years to come.

The vineyard of Fougas is one of the oldest properties in the area, the land once belonging to the Priory of Bellegarde. An eighteenth century water colour shows the French wine vineyard comprising a single holding with the ch&acirc；teau at its centre, a situation which continues to this day. A fine chateau was constructed in 1778 which stands to remind us of this glorious past.
