Bright red fruit, currents and raspberries, are dominating the nose with leather and anise adding complexity. The wine is very balanced on the palate, the tannins are well integrated, much more than I expected for 1986 Bordeaux. Good acidity brightens up the fruit. Great structure. The finish lingers on. Very enjoyable wine in its prime and has ways to go.
